Merry Christmas from The Bryants

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas. We here, at the Bryant household, had a wonderful time. Miss Mary Kahlen enjoyed her first Christmas. She wasn't much of a "paper ripper," but enjoyed pulling out the goods once Mommy unwrapped the box. Here, you can see that she plopped down on Mommy's new set of pots & pans. Isn't she just precious in her Christmas pj's? Her Aunt Kim gave those to her for her very first Christmas. If you watch the slide show, you will see that Santa brought her an American Girl doll, a sing and hum Elmo and a Leap Frog Explorations center. She also received many other gifts from her grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family members. She is a very blessed and loved little girl. Adam and I are very lucky to have so many wonderful family members & friends who love us so much.

Below, you will see a video of Mary Kahlen with her Memaw playing with a baby doll she received. She loved taking the pacifier out of the baby dolls mouth and putting it into hers...hit play and enjoy! :)

My First Chocolate Chip Cookie

Well, as you can see, Mary Kahlen had a wonderful time eating her first chocolate chip cookie. Yes, I know she's 10 1/2 months old and it may be sad to you that this is her first, but mommy tends to monitor what she eats. She has, however, up until this point, eaten Gerber cookies, etc. so she is definitely not deprived! :)
I notice in the picture that her mouth looks a bit like the Jokers from Batman, that's because she has 3/4 of a cookie shoved in there!
I just have to say that by the end, she had eaten 2 1/2 cookies by herself, and had chocolate chips on me and in the rolls of her neck...it was hilarious and precious.

My First Christmas Program

Here she is...waiting so patiently for her daycare Christmas program to begin. She had the best time and was so good! She looked just darling in her little Santa dress.

Here we are afterwards...just hanging out for the photo op. :)

Christmas In Hawkinsville

This past weekend, we visited Adam's extended family in Hawkinsville, GA. It was our Christmas gathering since we will be staying home for Christmas this year...you know, Santa has to come see Mary Kahlen at her house! :)

I asked Kathy's Aunt Peggy if we could use her tree as a background for Mary Kahlen's Christmas photo. Why not use your own tree, you ask? Because the only reason our tree has lights on it is because it is pre-lit, hey, we did good to get it up! Anyway, we took several pictures of her in front of the tree, I don't want to post it here because it will be on the Christmas card, but make sure you check out her teeth. :)

Let's see, we had a great time but on the way back Adam became very sick and it was not a pleasant ride home. Then, I woke up with the same virus on Monday morning. This virus business is no joke! We are both feeling better now, and prayfully, Mary Kahlen has avoided getting the bug.

We hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Bad Hair Day!!!

Good morning everyone. :) Let me begin by saying that, no, I have not decided that hair products rule. Our little angel has been pretty sick for the past few weeks. First, she had a stomach bug that almost hospitalized her for dehydration, and then when that ran its course, she developed double ear infections, which resulted in one ruptured eardrum. Yes, I'm getting to why these pictures are here. Anyway, over the past few weeks, Adam and I have been up with her throughout the night. We've slept with her on our shoulder, because lying down puts pressure on her ears. So, the other morning, after she had been on Adam's shoulder for the night, I came in to find this glorious hair do! It was just hilarious and precious...and do you see the look that the camera is getting??? Those close to me call that the "Cindy look," and because this is a public, family blog, I cannot tell you what the "Cindy look" means!

Check out Mary Kahlen doing her famous dance...she absolutely loves music!

She's dancing to a singing Santa Claus...isn't she just precious???

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. As you can see...I'm working feverishly on our new blog. I hope you enjoy the slideshow element, however, overlook the fact that several of the pictures are cut off...have no idea why, I'm waiting on an email back from tech support!
We had a busy day yesterday. Started off by visiting my aunt and uncle's house and then headed to Adam's parents. Mary Kahlen enjoyed seeing everyone. She's in the pulling hair phase, so I'm thinking that everyone who came in contact with her was "thankful" she wasn't stronger than she is!!!

Here she is hanging with Granny...notice her camo!!!

I have decided, now that our little Earth Angel has arrived, it is time to blog! I hate to admit that I am a little behind the times, seeing whereas my friend Tammy, who still uses a 35mm camera (by her own admission), has already created one for her and her family.
We are preparing for the holidays and things are going full force...that tends to happen with a 10 month old.
To get everyone up to date...I am currently substitute teaching for a local middle school...I know, keep the prayers coming! Adam has recently been moved to another department at Wal-Mart D.C. and is enjoying it very much. Mary Kahlen is still crawling all over the place and coming closer and closer to walking. We are having a ball celebrating her "first" everything. Christmas is going to be a blast, I'm sure more for us. :)
Adam and I currently completed classes for Foster Parenting, so stay tuned, we may have a new addition soon! Many people have asked our reasoning for this decision, and it's somewhat long, but in short, we felt led to become Foster Parents and still feel in our hearts that it was the right decision. I know Mary Kahlen can't wait to have someone else to play with, and since I will not physically have any more children, our goal is to definitely adopt a child through foster care. We have enough love to spread around!!!!
